Week 16 blog

This tutorial has to be the simplest of them all. The instructor is very clear and easy to understand.  Making pop art has become very popular.  People can use it to make portraits, wall art and tee shirts designs.  This tutorial will work well for some who new to photoshop, however, it’s a must try for everyone.

Week 15 blog

This tutorial is a must if you have a blog, website or Facebook page!  It’s a quick and easy way to decorate your page.  Once again the instructor is clear and easy to understand.  He gives the directions at a slow and steady pace.  However, he did forget one thing, you have to copy and paste to the new layer to view the tube highlights.  I am familiar with photoshop so I knew how to correct this oversight, but if you are not knowledgeable with the program you might have a hard time following along with the rest of his instructions.  Other all this is a great tutorial to make a quick and easy neon sign design.

Week 14 blog

Photoshop: How to Make a Festive, Tinsel, Holiday Greeting Card.
This video is on how to make a custom greeting card. Making your own greeting card will add a more personal touch, rather than just going to the store and picking one up. This tutorial is probably one of the easiest to replicate, the instructor is clear and easy to understand.  The card is cute; however there is some downloading to the computer which means you have to be care of what sites you use. This is definitely a must try the amateur graphic designer.

Week 13 blog
Photoshop: How to Make Obama's HOPE POSTER
This has to be my favorite tutorial of all! This poster by Sheperd Fairey is a very famous and influential poster.  It is something every graphic designer should try and do.  The tutorial is quick and easy to understand, and quite simply to do.  Although you have to pick out the right picture, because not every portrait will work for this type of photoshop treatment, it has to be a picture that has a lot of layers with midtones and highlights.  This is definitely a must try the amateur graphic designer.

week 12 blog
Photoshop: How to Design a Gritty, Underground, Urban Poster
This tutorial is essential to the up and coming graphic designer.  Designing posters and flyers is a big part of what we do.  The tutorial was easy to follow and very simple.  However, there were a lot of extra things the instructor wants you to download, and not everything was easy to install to the computer program.  I did learn about how to download different kinds of free brushes from a few websites.  Although people have to be careful about downloading anything to their computer, I found these sites to be safe and easy to download.  I found this tutorial very helpful, and it was easy for me to create my own version of the image.

Week 11 blog

Photoshop: How to Make Gleaming, Metallic or Glassy Text Effect in Deep Space

This Photoshop tutorial is very simple to perform.  The instructions are clear and concise and should easily lead to the making of a very powerful photo.  The instructor doesn’t go to fast and gives ease to follow. I did this tutorial, and the project turned out great. This tutorial is something fun and easy that most people whether they are experts or novices will find intriguing.

Week 10 blog
Photoshop: How to Make a Basic, Frame Animation
This was a fun an easy tutorial to do.  I have always wondered how they did those little animations on the web.  Now that I know how to do it, I will be adding a few animations to my page.  Once again the narrator was easy to understand and he made creating the animation very easy.  I made an animation to go along with this post to show how easy it can be. It only took me 6 mins!
