Photoshop: How to Make a Ghostly Text Effect

It’s Halloween, and time for some scary scenes! This tutorial about Ghostly Text Effect is great for creating a poster for the office, or just sending out spooky email for Halloween.  I tried this design myself. The instructor gives clear instructions, however my Photoshop is a little different from his, so in some cases I had to improvise, but everything turned out great. This is another typography piece that all graphic designers should have in their portfolio. Happy Halloween!

Week 7 blog               

Photoshop: How to Transform Landscape Photos into Beautiful, Impressionist Paintings 
This is a very simply and easy tutorial video to follow.  Many people have taken pictures of beautiful landscapes and wished that they could transform them into the paintings that inspire them.  The instructor provides the files to do all the work.  I also tried this on a portrait and it turn out great.  This is definitely an easy one for the Photoshop armature to try!

Week 6 Blog

This tutorial is a must for Photoshop beginners.  It’s very clear and simple to understand.  Creating text or placing text over a photo is probably to second most popular thing to do in Photoshop; however, working with text in Photoshop is not always easy.  This tutorial is something fun and easy that most people whether they are experts or novices will find intriguing.    

Week 5 Blog

This Photoshop tutorial is very simple to perform.  Manipulating photographs is the primary thing regular people (people who are not designers) do with Photoshop. The instructions are clear and concise and should easily lead to the making of a very powerful photo.  The instructor doesn’t go to fast and gives ease to follow.  I have enhanced many photographs is Photoshop, however I am excited to try out some of the filters in the video.  It should be fun.
